Privacy Policy
Pathventure handles event, participant, route, and billing data that can be sensitive in the real world, especially when location and photo proof are involved. This policy explains the categories of data Pathventure collects and how that data is used.
- Organizer account and organization details, including names, emails, membership, and billing context.
- Event content, such as titles, descriptions, checkpoint coordinates, route rules, uploaded media, and organizer notes.
- Player session data, such as team or player labels, join codes, checkpoint progress, timing, and device-side session state.
- Location-adjacent event data, such as arrival checks, checkpoint completion state, and progress timestamps.
- Proof and mission submissions, such as photos, notes, approval requests, and review notes.
- Technical and security data, such as IP-derived service logs, browser metadata, and error traces needed to keep the product working.
- Billing metadata, such as customer IDs, subscription state, checkout session records, and plan entitlements. Card data itself is processed by payment providers, not stored directly by Pathventure.
- To create organizations, authenticate users, and manage access.
- To publish events, power player join flows, and sync route progress.
- To provide Ops visibility, approvals, support actions, and audit history.
- To process purchases, subscriptions, entitlements, credits, and billing support.
- To detect abuse, protect the service, investigate failures, and improve reliability.
- Within the customer's own organization and event operations team, where needed to run and support an event.
- With service providers that help host, authenticate, store media, or process payments.
- With law enforcement, regulators, insurers, or legal advisors when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, or the service.
- In a business transfer, financing, or restructuring context, subject to appropriate confidentiality and legal handling.
Pathventure retains information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the service, support customers, maintain event history and billing records, resolve disputes, detect abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
Pathventure is not intended to invite direct self-serve use by children under 13 without an organizer-controlled process that handles any required parental, school, or guardian permissions. Organizers using Pathventure with minors are responsible for securing the permissions and notices their programs require.
Users can request reasonable access, correction, or deletion handling through the support contact identified in the organizer's launch materials, receipt, or billing communication, or directly through the Pathventure support page. Some data may need to be retained for security, billing, contractual, or legal reasons.
Pathventure may revise this policy as the product, launch footprint, and legal posture mature. The latest posted version controls going forward from its effective date.
