What players should expect when joining, what permissions matter, and how resume vs. start-again works on the same device.

What players need to do
  • Open the join link or enter the join code.
  • Choose a player or team name.
  • Allow location access when asked so arrival checks can work.
  • Allow camera or photo access only when the route actually needs QR scanning or proof.

Resume is intentional

If a saved run already exists on the same device, Pathventure makes the player choose between resuming or starting over. That is deliberate. It reduces duplicate teams and accidental chaos.
